The results are in – you have elected the Fed reps you want for Cumbria Police Federation Branch.
Officers could nominate themselves between 1 and 17 February with voting taking place between 1 and 21 March.
There are 17 reps covering Cumbria. Please contact them if you need help, advice or assistance in any matter.
These reps can now put themselves forward to join the Cumbria Branch Board. Our Branch Board meets regularly through the year to consider issues that affect our members and include the local Chair, Secretary and Treasurer. They act as the negotiation and consultative body when dealing with our chief constable, senior officers and our PCC, providing an effective link between officers and senior management. Branch Boards also deal with the day-to-day problems federated officers face, and work to improve the status of the police service and its members.
If you are a rep and would like to nominate yourself to be part of the Branch Board please check your email as you will automatically be sent instructions.
After the Branch Board has been selected, all members will be able to vote for the Cumbria Chair from 14 to 30 May. Branch chairs act as the internal and external spokesperson for the Branch, work in conjunction with the Branch Board to define and deliver the strategic direction of the Branch and should ensure the welfare of the members and the force are at the heart of the services provided.
Branch Secretaries and Treasurers are elected by the Branch Board. More information about the roles of the Branch Board Chair, Secretary and Treasurer can be found on the national website Reps@Work page.
The whole election process is managed by independent supplier Mi-Voice overseen by the Police Federation’s national centre in Leatherhead.
