City of London Police Federation

Ricky Ozcan

I was born, grew up and still live in North London so definitely support Arsenal!

I joined The City of London Police in 2001, shortly after graduating from University where I studied Criminology at Buckinghamshire Chilterns University College. I have always served in the City. I have always been a uniformed Officer in Operational roles. I currently work as a Duty Officer on C team in Local Policing (Response) where I have been since July 2020. Prior to this I was as Tactical Firearms Commander in the Force Control Room where I worked for over 8 years.

I am a firm believer in Servant Leadership, caring out people, putting the needs of others first, developing others, valuing staff and humility. I strongly believe that an engaged and supported workforce is a productive workforce.

Becoming a Federation Representative for me is all about being there and offering non-judgement support and advice to my colleagues when people most need it around the clock.

Different people will utilise the Police Federation in different ways as serving members, this is absolutely fine. I am here to respect and acknowledge my follow members and provide support, encouragement and advice when it’s needed most.
