Believe in Blue scoops top prize at PR industry awards

A campaign that celebrates British policing has won first prize at a prestigious awards ceremony.
Believe in Blue saw off tough competition to claim a Gold Award in the Not-for-Profit Campaign category at this year’s PRide Awards.The campaign which raises awareness on the remarkable acts police officers undertake while carrying out their duties, wowed a panel of judges made up of leading PR experts at the event organised by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.
The competition received almost a thousand entries from public relations teams, consultancies and individuals across the UK and over 300 were shortlisted.
As well as winning a Gold Award for Believe in Blue, the Police Federations Protect the Protectors campaign was also a named finalist in the Not for Profit campaign category, the Bravery Awards in the Best Events category and The Police Magazine for External publication category.
Police Federation Chair Steve White who attended the event said: “It is fitting that this ground-breaking innovative campaign, which reached millions and helped change the perceptions of the British public about the brilliance of British policing has been recognised by winning this prestigious award.”
