Review of police targets – have your say
27 June 2015
Chief Superintendent Irene Curtis, President of the Police Superintendents’ Association of England and Wales, has been asked by the Home Secretary to conduct a comprehensive review of the use of targets within policing.
The review will examine whether numerical targets are being used, their impact on police officers’ ability to do their jobs and the service they provide to the public, and seek to make recommendations for good performance management practice.
As part of the Review Irene and her team are keen to consult with as many police officers and staff as possible. Officers and staff of all ranks and grades are invited to give their views through a survey, which has just been launched.
The survey is completely confidential and should only take around ten minutes to complete. It will close on 17 July.
