Hampshire Police Federation

2021 Police Unity Tour is on - Register now

6 May 2021

The Police Unity Tour 2021 is on! This is a charity cycle ride in aid of Care of Police Survivors (COPS).

Due to COVID restrictions, there are only a limited number of spaces available. If you are interested, please contact Zoe Wakefield zoe.wakefield@polfed.org ASAP. Priority will be given to serving officers.

Hampshire will be cycling with TVP colleagues starting from Hungerford on the morning of Friday 30th July. (We will travel to Hungerford on the Thursday afternoon). The cycle will takes us to Williams F1 for a break and then onto TVP HQ South in Kidlington for lunch and then onto Milton Keynes. Here we will meet up with cyclists from other forces, including the Met.

On Saturday morning we will form a large peloton of a few hundred cyclists to cycle to Tamworth. There will be police motorcyclist outriders to keep the cyclists safe and stop traffic.

On Sunday we cycle the short distance to the National Memorial Arboretum for the COPS Annual Service of Remembrance.

Every cyclist will cycle in memory of a fallen officer from Hampshire.

Registration fee is £150. Each cyclist needs to raise £400 but this will hopefully include a donation from HPLS and the Federation.

This is a memorable event to be involved in. Cyclists should be capable of cycling the distance (approx. 180 miles in total) at a speed of 12-14mph. The route is relatively flat so no horrendous hills to climb!

We need to source a transit/luton style van to transport the bikes. If anyone has any connections, please let Zoe know. We also need someone with basic cycle mechanic skills who would be willing to join our support team.

Thanks!

Zoe.
