Detective Awards

The Police Federation National Detective Forum 2017 took place on Thursday 12 October and Friday 13 October 2017 at the De Vere Staverton Estate, Staverton, Northampton with the National Detectives Awards on the evening of Thursday 12 October.

The awards formed part of a two-day seminar which started earlier that day for detective representatives and was organised by our National Detectives’ Forum and sponsored by Police Money Matters and Police Mutual.

Winners and runners-up from this year's awards were:

  • New Trainee Detective - DC Emma Kunne, Leicestershire Police
  • Services to Detectives - Joint winners T/DCI Andrew Cunliffe, Greater Manchester and DI Steven Nelson, Essex Police
  • Smarter Detective 3rd place - A/DS Duncan Montague and DI Luke Whinnett, Hertfordshire Constabulary
  • Smarter Detective runner-up - DC Steven Tisseyre, Bedfordshire Police
  • Smarter Detective overall winner - Temp DCI Julie Henderson and A/PS Jason Hall, Metropolitan Police
  • Detective Investigation of the Year 3rd place - Operation Zilch, Northamptonshire Police
  • Detective Investigation of the Year runner-up - DI Suzanne Baker, West Midlands
  • Detective Investigation of the Year winner - Operation Hornett, Thames Valley
  • PFNDF award for outstanding contribution - Royston Martis

Last year's National Detective Awards took place on Thursday 13 October at The Forest Pines Hotel and Golf Resort in Broughton, Humberside.
