The Police Federation elections give members the opportunity to vote for the colleagues they want to represent them locally and nationally.
Police Federation representatives support and advise members in matters such as conduct, pay, allowances, terms and conditions, equality, professional development and operational policing issues.
Elections for Federation reps are held every three years with interim elections being organised if positions become vacant. The 2018 national elections, the first under new procedures introduced after the Independent Review of the Police Federation, began in February and finished in September. The next election process will begin in 2021.
